The Digital Octopi is the solo practice of Jordan Anderson — a leader in Program Development and Creative Operations with over a decade of experience building the operational infrastructure that connects UX strategy, product, creative, and enterprise program management. From developing UX strategy programs at Google and Amazon to directing brand activations at major music festivals and shaping the narrative architecture of immersive world-building experiences — the work spans industries, disciplines, and scales. The throughline is always the same: complex problems, clean solutions, and teams that actually feel enabled.
Every engagement starts the same way — by listening. Before any program development begins, the priority is to understand the team, the culture, and the specific shape of the problem at hand. From there, the work moves through a deliberate process: discover the gaps, build the right systems, enable the people, and refine as the work evolves. This approach is integral to our UX strategy. Nothing is templated; every solution is bespoke.
Great work doesn't happen by accident — it happens because someone built the conditions for it. The belief behind The Digital Octopi is simple: when the right systems, processes, and people are in place, creative and operational excellence aren't just possible — they're inevitable. This practice exists to build those conditions through effective program development, remove friction, and make space for teams to do their best work, all while enhancing their UX strategy.

The Motion UX program development required a solid foundation — including roadmap structure, WIP and Launch Review cadences, and alignment across Design, Engineering, and Product on the Search Results Page. It successfully achieved this by building its UX strategy from scratch and is currently engaged in active launch experimentation.
The issues with two broken research vendors resulted in inconsistent quality and misaligned processes. This diagnosis led to the development of market-specific SOPs and a comprehensive vendor consolidation as part of a strategic program development initiative. These efforts redirected savings, enabling expanded research into Japan, which achieved greater coverage, reduced spending, and a seamless UX strategy with zero chaos.
I conceived and produced a comprehensive program development initiative for an end-to-end corporate event that featured real Amazon customers on a panel in front of over 100 designers and product managers. This process involved managing recruiting, production, internal marketing, and custom swag from start to finish, all while ensuring alignment with our UX strategy.
Strategy, production, direction, and distribution — all under one roof, enhanced by effective Program Development and a robust UX Strategy. The result: 335% follower growth and 3,133% view growth with only 16% paid spend.
Two simultaneous brand activations at one of New York's biggest music festivals highlighted an effective Program Development strategy. This involved a full custom salon build-out for OGX, featuring 12 stylists across a playhouse and two VIP areas, running concurrently with a festival beauty activation for GoPuff. With a strong emphasis on UX Strategy, the management of vendors, coordination of talent, and flawless execution were seamlessly handled all at once.
